Spinach Artichoke Dip

Spinach Artichoke Dip
Very easy appetizer often associated with Super Bowl Sunday made using canned ingredients and a few pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 2 cans artichoke hearts, drained
- 2 cans spinach, drained & squeezed to remove moisture
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 4 ounces (1/2 of standard-sized package) cream cheese
- 3/4 cups shredded Asiago cheese, divided
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt or 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 20 twists fresh black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° (F).
- Remove foil wrapper from cream cheese and microwave on high for 30 seconds.
- In large bowl, place artichoke hearts, spinach, mayonnaise, and cream cheese.
- Season with onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, Himalayan pink salt, and black pepper.
- Sprinkle with 1/4 cup Asiago cheese, and mix well. Taste and adjust seasonings accordingly.
- Scoop into baking dish and spread evenly, but do not press. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Place in 350° (F) oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until cheese melts.
- Serve with pita chips, corn chips, or toast corners.
